2012 OLD 27 PROJECT
Starting approximately June 11, 2012 the Roscommon County Road Commission will begin work on Old 27 from Ausable Road to to the Crawford County line. The project will consist of 3.77 miles of trenching, HMA shoulders, cold milling, ultra-thin overlay, gravel shoulders, sign replacements and pavement markings.

REMINDER
May 16, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Lyon Townshthe will hold their Monthly Board Meeting at 7:00 pm.
ROAD-END DOCKS LYON TOWNSHIP 2012
****NO CHANGE FROM PRIOR YEARS****
Lyon Township is not requiring a permit for the placement of a public dock at a public road-end. Docks should be placed at public road-ends as they have been in prior years. Lyon Township continues to follow the Jacobs decision which allows one (1) non-exclusive dock at a road-end.
To satisfy the new law, Public Act 56 of 2012, the Roscommon County Road Commission, having jurisdiction over the roads, has passed a motion allowing a public dock at all road-ends in the county.
As in the past, liability for a road-end dock and the decision concerning insurance coverage rests with the owner of the dock.
Lyon Township does request that the person(s) responsible for the dock provide the township with contact information.
