Thank You to all that have participated in previous surveys.

Recreation Improvements

As a resident or visitor of Lyon Township, we want you to know that we have been working on improvements to the township parks and continue to listen to our citizens of the Lyon township community. Here is the update on Park improvements.

Update: March 16 2017

PARK IMPROVEMENTS:

Lyon Township continues to work on and receive grants.

The Township is continuing to work on grants for upcoming projects.

Last year,  using grant funds, Playground equipment for children 5-12 was installed at Park 27. A Community build was completed in May 2016. Bike racks were installed at Park 27, Sam-O-Set Park, Phoenix Park and at  the Township Hall in 2016.  Breakaway softball bases were purchased and used on the baseball field during the 2016 season.

Plans still in the works for 2017:

  • Adding two tennis courts to Park 27 - Spring 2017
  • Grooming capabilities obtained for Winter Trails 2017
  • Adding an ice-skating rink to Park 27 - Winter 2017
  • Continue to work on future grants for our Parks - currently walking trails.

If you have any questions, contact any Township official or employee. We are here to serve you.

Thank you,

The Lyon Township Board
