Building Inspector - Dave Doll

The building inspector is in the Township on Monday and Wednesday only.  

He works from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm on Monday and 9:00am until 12:00pm on Wednesday.

Dave can be reached by calling the Township at (989) 821-9694, Ext. 206.  

Building Packets may be picked up at the Township Hall, or downloaded from links below.  

Electrical, Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing Inspectors can be reached through the township at 989-821-9694 ext 200

Apr: Wednesdaty & Saturday

May: Sunday, Wednesday & Saturday

Oct and Nov: Sunday, Wednesday & Saturday

Acceptable Yard Waste for Residents

  • Leaves
  • Pine Needles
  • Grass 
  • Small Brush less than 2 inches in diameter

 Prohibited Materials

  • Trash
  • Stumps
  • Plastic bags; plastic must be taken with you.
  • Styrofoam

 Contractors: As of July 1, 2015 contractors will no longer be allowed to bring in wood chips, stumps or brush of any kind.

SPRING LEAF PICK UP BEGINS ON THE FIRST TUESDAY IN MAY AND GOES UNTIL THE SECOND TUESDAY IN JUNE.

FALL LEAF PICK UP WILL BEGIN THE FIRST TUESDAY IN OCTOBER AND CONTINUE UNTIL THE SECOND TUESDAY IN NOVEMBEROR UNTIL THE FIRST STICKING SNOW. 
 

YOU CAN ALSO BRING YOUR LEAVES TO THE COMPOST 

ANY TIME DURING OPEN HOURS THROUGH OUT THE YEAR

GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS

  • Food & Beverage containers only
  • All colors, please rinse out, remove lids, labels are OK
  • No Pyrex, window glass, ceramics, light bulbs, mirrors or broken glass

METAL FOOD & BEVERAGE CANS

  • Metal food & beverage cans: also lids from glass bottles & jars
  • Rinse clean, labels are okay
  • Flatten if possible

PLASTICS

  • Plastic bottles such as milk jugs, water bottles, Gatorade etc.  Anything with #1 or #2 placed within the recycled arrows. (Triangle)
  • Rinse well, remove caps, labels are okay.
  • NO MOTOR OIL CONTAINERS

NEWS PAPERS - MAGAZINES

  • Place in a brown paper grocery bag
  • Newspapers can include color comic sections and glossy inserts

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION

They are scheduled for the Saturday following Memorial day & Labor day:
